Our Roots

Grace Fellowship, a non-denominational church, began in the Summer of 1999.

Our roots began to grow in July of 1999 at the Secor, IL home of Tom and Gladys Carr. Those first services were held under this grand oak tree in their yard on Saturday nights. Rather quickly, it became apparent that God was gathering a group of believers to start a church that would minister to the needs of the El Paso area community. As the congregation grew, they moved to the old El Paso City Hall building and began to host services as they made plans for a building to house the congregation permanently. The ground breaking service was held in 2001 at our current location. Countless hours of volunteer labor, using donated materials, brought about the completion of the building. The first Sunday service was held on April 7, 2002.drawg003acarrsb0026wWe invite you to join us every Sunday morning at 10:15 for Family Worship. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 AM.

Additional history about Grace Fellowship can be found in our 10th Anniversary Celebration book. Created in 2009, with 86 pages of information and photos, the book is available in the church office.
